Sit back and relax with a view of the vineyards, while enjoying some of Macarthur’s finest wines at Razorback Ridge Wines.

The Macarthur area has been referred to as the birthplace of the Australian wine industry. It was named after John and Elizabeth Macarthur who were pioneers and founders in both the wool and wine industries.

These early settlers first farmed the area over 200 years ago and they planted one of the first commercial vineyards in Australia. It is in this area some 180 years later that the vineyard at Razorback Ridge Wines was planted. The vines are hand pruned and handpicked to ensure premium quality fruit and the current vines were planted in the year 2000.

This event is one for those who truly love to immerse themselves in nature… and don’t worry, despite the name, it doesn’t actually involve the kind of bathing we do morning and/or evening J.

The practice of forest bathing, also called forest therapy, is led by a certified guide and is a Japanese practice that is decades old known as shinrin- yoku, which means ‘taking in the forest.’

Forest Bathing is proven to reduce stress hormone production, improve feelings of happiness and free up creativity, as well as lower heart rate, blood pressure and boost the immune system.

Undergo this new sensory experience, where a Dharawal National Park Guide will help you explore the park with all five of your senses. It is simply being in nature and connecting with it through our senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch. Perfect for children and adults.
