Terms & Conditions: Menangle Park 2026 Halloween Kids Costume Competition

  1. DefinitionsIn these Terms and Conditions, the following words have the corresponding meanings:
    1. Competition: The “Menangle Park 2026 Halloween Kids Costume Competition” promotion governed by these Terms & Conditions.
    2. Entry Form: The official online Competition Submission Form completed and submitted by a Guardian to enter an Entrant into the Competition.
    3. Entrant: A child aged 15 years or under at the time of entry who is a resident of New South Wales, attends the Event in person, and enters the Competition.
    4. Event: The Menangle Park 2026 Halloween Event held on Friday, 30 October 2026, from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm AEDT at the Menangle Park Sales Centre and Display Village.
    5. Guardian: A parent or legal guardian of an Entrant who completes the Entry Form and consents to the Entrant’s participation on their behalf.
    6. Judge: A representative or panel member appointed by the Promoter to evaluate valid entries.
    7. Prize: One of six (6) Woolworths Gift Cards totalling AUD $1,000 in value, as set out in Clause 8.
    8. Promoter: Dahua Group Sydney Project 2 Pty Ltd (ABN 80 606 391 235) and Dahua Group Sydney Project 3 Pty Ltd (ABN 49 606 391 922) of Suite 2, Level 20, 201 Elizabeth Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
  2. Competition Period
    1. The Competition will take place during the Event on Friday, 30 October 2026. Submissions will open at 3:30 pm AEDT and close strictly at 5:45 pm AEDT (“Competition Period”).
    2. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify or terminate the Competition at any time.
  3. Eligibility
    1. To be eligible to participate:
      1. Entrants must be aged 15 years or under at the time of entry;
      2. Entrants must be residents of New South Wales;
      3. Entrants must attend the Event in person; and
      4. A Guardian must assist the Entrant with the entry submission.
    2. Employees of the Promoter, its related entities, participating display home builders, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means spouse, de facto partner, parent, child, sibling, grandparent or grandchild.
  4. How to Enter
    1. To enter, the Entrant must have their photograph taken while wearing their Halloween costume in front of a Display Home at the Menangle Park Display Village during the Event.
    2. A Guardian must complete and submit the online Entry Form, uploading one photograph clearly showing the Entrant in their costume, prior to the close of the Competition Period.
    3. Only entries submitted via the official online Entry Form and received before 5:45 pm AEDT on Friday, 30 October 2026 will be valid. The Promoter’s system timestamp will be final in determining the time of receipt.
  5. Entry Conditions & Restrictions
    1. Limit of one (1) entry per Entrant. Multiple entries submitted on behalf of the same child will result in disqualification of all entries for that child.
    2. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, altered, or submitted outside the official Entry Form will be deemed invalid.
    3. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and Entrants (including age, residency, and identity).
  6. Judging
    1. Judging will take place at the Event starting at 5:45 pm AEDT on Friday, 30 October 2026.
    2. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners. No random draw will be used, including to resolve a tie.
    3. Entries will be assessed by the Judges based on creativity, effort, and overall presentation.
    4. If two or more entries receive equal assessment, the Judges will reassess those entries against the criterion of creativity to determine the higher-ranked entry.
    5. The Judges’ decisions are final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  7. Disqualification
    1. Entries containing offensive, discriminatory, unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate content (as reasonably determined by the Promoter) will be disqualified.
    2. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant or Guardian who submits false information, tampers with the entry process, breaches these Terms & Conditions, or acts in a disruptive or unfair manner.
  8. Prizes
    1. There are six (6) Prizes to be won, with a total prize pool value of AUD $1,000:
      1. First Place: One (1) x $300 Woolworths Gift Card
      2. Second Place: Two (2) x $200 Woolworths Gift Cards
      3. Third Place: Three (3) x $100 Woolworths Gift Cards
    2. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
    3. Woolworths Gift Cards are subject to the issuer’s standard terms, conditions, and expiry dates. Woolworths Group Limited is not a sponsor of, or affiliated with, this Competition.
  9. Winners Announcement & Unclaimed Prizes
    1. Winners will be announced live during the Event by the MC at approximately 6:15 pm AEDT.
    2. Winners or their Guardians who are present at the time of the announcement may accept their Prize in person.
    3. If a winner is not present during the live announcement, the Promoter will send the Prize digitally via email to the Guardian using the email address provided in the Entry Form within five (5) business days following the Event. The Promoter is not responsible for incorrect email addresses supplied by participants. Once transmitted to the nominated email address the Prize is deemed delivered.
    4. If a winner is found to be ineligible or otherwise unable to accept a Prize, the Promoter may determine an alternative winner in accordance with the judging criteria.
  10. Intellectual Property, Publicity & Media Consent
    1. By submitting an entry, the Guardian confirms:
      1. they are the parent or legal guardian of the Entrant and grants the Promoter a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display the submitted photographs, as well as the Entrant’s name, age, and costume image, across any media (including digital, print, and social media) for promotional, marketing, and publicity purposes;
      2. the submitted photograph is owned by them or is submitted with all necessary permissions; and
      3. the submission and use of the submitted photograph by the Promoter in accordance with these Terms & Conditions will not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights or any other rights of any third party.
    2. Guardians agree that Entrants and Guardians may be photographed or filmed during the Event and consent to such material being used by the Promoter for future promotional purposes without compensation.
    3. The Guardian warrants that they have authority to provide all consents required under these Terms & Conditions on behalf of the Entrant.
  11. Privacy
    1. The Promoter collects personal information of Entrants and Guardians to conduct the Competition, administer Prizes, communicate with participants, and promote its products, services, and related developments in accordance with its Privacy Policy (available at https://dahuaaustralia.com.au/privacy-policy/).
    2. By entering, Guardians consent to the collection, storage, and use of personal information as described above, including disclosure to third-party service providers assisting with the Competition.
  12. Limitation of Liability & General
    1. By entering, Guardians and Entrants agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
    2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its related bodies corporate, and participating display home operators accept no responsibility or liability for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss, damage, or personal injury suffered or sustained by any person in connection with attendance at the Event, participation in the Competition, or the acceptance and use of any Prize. Nothing in these Terms excludes any right which cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
    3. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for lost, late, corrupted, or misdirected entries due to technical glitches, network outages, or system failures.
  13. Governing LawThese Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Entrants and Guardians submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
