What: Cambelltown City Christmas Carols

Menangle Park is proud to be a Major sponsor of the Campbelltown City Christmas Carols.
Round up the troops, pack a blanket and bring your best singing voice as you join the jolly man in red, host Nathan Foley from Channel 9’s “HI -5”, a live band and a stream of talented local performers, to sing all your favourite holiday tunes!
The free festivities include preshow entertainment at 5pm,followed by carols from 6pm then concluding with a spectacular fireworks display at 9pm.

What: Carols At The Point
When: Sunday, December 2nd
Time: 12pm – 9pm
Where: St Abraam, 2 Wills Road, Long Point
Cost/Tickets: This is a free event

This year the annual Carols at the Point event will be held on Sunday, December 2.

Get ready for some serious entertainment with rides including a giant wave slide, jumping castle, obstacle course, bubble soccer, petting zoo and much more starting from 12:30pm. Carols will follow from 7pm-9pm, and will feature choirs from St Abraam and other churches across the diocese.

With so much fun for the kids (and the big kids), it’s a must attend for this seasons events!

What: Family Garden Party

Where: Campbelltown Catholic Club, 20-22 Camden Road, Campbelltown
Cost/Tickets: This is a free event

As part of its 50th Birthday celebrations, Campbelltown Catholic Club will host a free Garden Party for the community. The afternoon will include family-fun activities including a jumping castle, petting zoo, rock climbing and bungee trampolining. There will also be an opportunity to taste the club’s exciting food offering and meet renowned chef, Peter Sheppard.

What: Macarthur Night Markets – Friday Foodies Feast
When: Friday, December 7th & 21st

Where: Mawson Park, Cordeaux Street, Campbelltown
Cost/Tickets: This is a free event

Mawson Park is the place to be for food lovers on the first and third Friday of the month!

Experience an evening of culinary delights and open air dining from a variety of street food vendors, as you wander through boutique market stalls and enjoy live music performances, all within the heart of the Campbelltown CBD. And don’t forget to bring the little ones, there are plenty of fun activities for them too.
Patrons are encouraged to utilise roadside parking throughout the Campbelltown CBD and the Broughton Street and Short Street car parks.

What: Aussie Night Markets

Where: Club Menangle, Menangle Paceway
Cost/Tickets: This is a free event

The Aussie Night Markets at Club Menangle, Menangle Paceway offer an international food market with over 40 international street food vendors, a dessert section, high quality arts and crafts, kiddie rides and entertainment, every second Saturday of the month.

If you haven’t finished that dreaded Christmas shopping yet, pop by the markets for some great finds for all ages.

December 8th

What: Carols In The Park
When: Saturday, December 8th
Time: 5:30pm – 9:30pm
Where: Koshigaya Park, Campbelltown
Cost/Tickets: This is a free event

If you missed out on the Campbelltown Christmas Carol events earlier in the month, then not to worry as Carols in the Park will be held on December 8th.

Come on down to Koshigaya Park with your blanket or chair and enjoy singing all your favourite carols and more, led by an amazing band and song leaders. The family festival will include free activities including face painting and amusements. Grab a bite to eat at the barbecue fundraiser cooking up sausage sandwiches, drinks and more. The night will finish with a spectacular fireworks display at 9:30pm.

December 31st

What: New Years Eve
When: Monday, 31st December
Time: 7pm – Midnight
Where: Koshigaya Park
Cost/Tickets: This is a free event

Koshigaya Park is home to the biggest New Year’s Eve party in Campbelltown.

Join us from 7pm for a huge evening of live entertainment, children’s shows, family friendly carnival, merchandise and food stalls, but most importantly, two spectacular fireworks displays at 9pm and midnight.

A giant screen on the western side of the park will display all of the on-stage action, so everyone has a front row seat!

Road Closures

Council advises that temporary full road closures will be introduced in the following streets from 6pm on 31 December 2018 to 1am on 1 January for the New Year’s Eve celebrations.

  1. Camden Road – west of Catholic Club access roundabout to Hurley Street.
  2. Hurley Street – Camden Road to south of Campbelltown Mall access roundabout.
  3. Kellicar Road – Narellan Road to Camden Road

January 26th 2019

What: Australia Day At Campbelltown Active
When: Saturday, 26th January 2019
Time: 9:30am – 5pm
Where: Campbelltown Active Leaisure & Fitness
Cost/Tickets: $3 entry Adult; $2 entry Child

Council’s three swimming centres will operate from 9.30am to 5pm on Australia Day, with lots of fun activities and giveaways on offer to celebrate our national day.

Each centre will have a special guest character visiting throughout the day to give away a range of apparel, equipment and confectionery to visitors.

Fun pool inflatables will be operating at each centre for kids aged from seven to 12 years!
Gordon Fetterplace Aquatic Centre: 10.30am to 1.30pm
Macquarie Fields Leisure Centre: 9.30am to 12.30pm
Eagle Vale Central: 11.30am to 2.30pm
There’ll also be extra fun outside the pools, with a jumping castle at each centre from 10am to 1pm.
